Telephone consultation!

I am so excited and thrilled in that the baby IVF train is coming to a stop at our house already! We finally have some shekels in the baby fund as we are calling it and I contacted the clinic that we will use and was informed that should we get everything in order and fill some forms and other things for our telephone consultation around late September or early October. Can you tell I am so happy? I wish there was a jumping happy man smiley here, then you'd all know! ;) It all adds up though as this consultation will not be cheap, $200! Yikes! Took me a while to inform hubbyman as I know how he feels about money and letting him know there's another expense with the clinic made me tread carefully when I informed him about it.

Anyway I am thrilled that this will definitely get the ball rolling. Apparently P from the clinic stated in her email that it was important to cycle within 6 months of having the consult, so that is cool with us! Now I have to find a way to get my charts that came from the previous RE in Alberta to here so we can get them to the clinic in time.

I am actually hoping that I can have this all done before the second week in September...

Waiting....

Is it March yet? *LOL*

Can you tell I love waiting? ;)

I think I am going to be bold and request a telephone consult with the clinic. I am scared in a way as I know we cannot do this until next year but surely it wouldn't hurt to find out now, right? Also there is a small possibility of hopefully getting some meds at half price from a friend so we shall see.

Off to send that email...

Learning to breathe deeply

There are some coworkers that are quite "challenging" to say the least and I have decided that our babies are far too important to be caught in the middle of office politics. As far as I am concerned I am there to help pay for our cycle and to bring our babies home, hubbyman agrees and we are both trying to learn to breathe deeply when those certain strained episodes occur at work.

We are thanking God that our weekend has just commenced! ;)

Blessings.

Cool video

http://www.arcfertility.com/videos/go-inside-ivf-lab.html

We have a (tentative) date!

We have finally decided that the go-ahead will be sometime in March! Yay! I am so thrilled, scared and nervous about the whole ordeal but hey, anything to get our babies here, right? I am so hoping that this will be a success and cannot imagine a failure but I am sure one we meet with the Dr our fears will be put at ease and to rest!

I have been praying to God and hoping that He will bless this. I know that there are some that feel that IVF is not the way to go and I know I let people keep their opinions to themselves and talk to me when they have a stumbling block in trying to conceive their baby blessing. I believe we cannot judge another without walking a mile in their shoes.

So, for now we are finding a way to save money and that means for now we will save my paychecks and live off his for the next 6 months or so. I am just hoping that soon I can book a telephone consultation with the clinic we will be using and hopefully my timeline is correct and we can start this fun ride by mid-March 2010.

Well I hope and pray that this time of waiting and saving will be a good time of reconnecting for hubbyman and I. I know it's going to be hard on him not being able to buy a game or two for his X-Box and hey he already states that it will all be worth it! *LOL*

Blessings.

Our history

Married since 2002 and stopped birth control right after wedding.

November 2005 we decide to start ttc #1.

May 2007 we see a RE who diagnoses mild MFI and unexplained. All my tests came back great. Recommends Clomid and IUI but we decide not to go this route.

August 2009 finally decide to do IVF/ICSI since we are still on this path after almost 4 years of au naturale! Start saving for cycle that we hope to do in Spring 2010.

Hubbyman 38 and me almost 40.
